A Message from the Instructor: Explaining Your Task

This project aims at developing skills necessary to actively contribute to the creation of cultural digital artifacts such as blogs, digital images or videos. This activity will unite students from University at Albany, SUNY (USA), Kazan Federal University (Russia), and European Humanities University (Lithuania). Together we will build the Encyclopedia of Digital Tools.
Your task is to create two encyclopedia entries. One of the entries will describe a digital tool that you actively use, while the other one will be about a tool that you will learn specifically for this course. Select any digital technology that could be used for learning and teaching. For example, you can create an entry about software you use to create podcasts/movies/presentations or about a social networking site you may use for teaching. For an excellent list of cool technologies, please visit http://etap687.edublogs.org/2010/04/12/top-10-cooltools-for-2010/. If possible, provide a link to the product you created with a digital tool you described. You can also insert an image of the tool to you post
Your encyclopedia entry should follow this template:
1. Tool title (must be also in the subject line of your entry) and a link to it.
2. Main features
3. Level of difficulty and time required for learning for people with basic/intermediate computer proficiency
4. Potential application in the classroom (if you are a teacher or plan to teach) or other work settings.
5. Conclusion: Is the tool worth learning? What for?
6. If possible, provide a link to the product you created. For example this could be a link to your blog or a file with a Wordle that you created. If possible, also insert an image with your digital tool to your blog post.
